One of my favorite iPod touch features is its ability to add contacts on the go. When I m talking with another parent and trying to set up a playdate or when I m in a business meeting, I can pull out my iPod touch and enter contact information right where I am. When I return to my computer, I sync that information into my main computer-based Address Book. Contacts you create or edit on your iPod touch will sync back to your computer and update the information there. If you ve set the Sync contacts option in iTunes, all changes made on your touch will synchronize to your computer and reflect your updates. Tap the Add button at the top right of the screen to create a new contact. A detail screen opens, as shown in Figure 9-5. Here, you can enter all the information for your new contact. Fill in the fields, as described in the following sections, and then tap Save to add your new contact to the list.

A function literal is constructed with the function keyword followed by an optional name and the list of arguments. Then comes the body of the function, enclosed in curly braces.

The first thing you need to do is install Django. From your home directory, issue the following command to download and install Django 1.1 (the latest release version available at the time of writing): wget http://www.djangoproject.com/download/1.1/tarball/ tar xzvf Django-1.1.tar.gz cd Django-1.1 sudo python setup.py install That s it! Open this file in your favorite text editor, and change it so that it matches Listing 11-12 (changes from the standard file are highlighted in bold). Components are complex objects capable of encapsulating other objects and child components. For example, a nonvisual component may need to encapsulate child objects and even instantiate them programmatically. A visual component, being associated with a DOM element, typically needs to attach and detach event handlers, or may create dynamic elements. Having a centralized location for initializing and disposing an instance is critical.

The first field on the New Contact screen is labeled First Last. Tapping this field leads you to an information form, complete with keyboard, where you can edit the name of your contact. The fields on that form describe a person s name and company, and provide the identifying information for the contact name. Here you have a choice. You can enter both a name and a company ID, just one, or just the other. For example, you might add a contact for your favorite pizza parlor using just its company name, without adding a contact name for that establishment. After entering the new information, tap Save. This returns you to the New Contact screen.
